By far the best dining experience I’ve had in awhile. Small, intimate, fun. Service was attentive. The team was knowledgeable about what they’re serving. Food was outstanding. Oysters, steak tartare, chowder. All great. Will be back!
A small oyster bar on Barton Street. Staff are knowledgeable and their supplier provides them with some high quality oysters and clams served with friendly hospitality and a laid-back atmosphere. Staff clearly takes pride in their work and are welcoming to both foodies and people who never even had a chance to enjoy a fresh oyster. I would recommend a reservation as space is limited and a party larger than 2 may struggle to find a seat durring peak hours. So far, this is the best oyster bar south of the GTA
What a wonderful place. We’ve ordered oysters before but today we finally got a chance to dine in and it was so worth it. The restaurant is small but so beautifully finished every detail looks like it was thought through including the wallpaper in the bathroom. The oysters were perfection and both our meals were fantastic. We had the lobster roll which was so buttery and the short ribs which just melt in your mouth amazing flavours. it just seems like everyone who works there is so kind including the owner who offered to hold our little baby so that we could finish our meal. Thank you ! We’ll be back!
First time here and it was a great experience! One on one conversation with the owner and celebrated oyster shucker. No detail was left overlooked. From the washroom decor to the dining room, these guys understand hospitality. Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and of course - excellent food and drink.
Highly recommend this East Coast Inspired Gem of a restaurant! Dave's passion is reflected in every aspect - from the quality and variety of the most amazing FRESH oysters, the small, yet delectable, menu, the decor and the amazing staff! I recommend sitting at the bar and you will have new friends by the end of the night! Visit Maisy's Pearl Oyster Bar for an experience you don't want to miss! Will go back again and again and introduce friends too! Never expected to have the most delicious and fresh oysters when not by the sea!
Amazing experience. The variety of oysters they had was spectacular; they were as fresh and delicious as they were plentiful. The staff was knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu, and were an absolute delight to interact with. Each of the servers were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. It was also a treat to chat with David and watch him as he demonstrated the mastery of his craft. The food itself was both aesthetically pleasing and prepared with a level of flavour and precision I have seldom seen even in fine dining restaurants. If there's one thing you need to try (aside from the oysters, of course) it would have to be the caramelized pork belly with scallops. Both the pork and the scallops were cooked to absolute perfection, with a flavour so full and satisfying, that I didn't want to eat the last bite. I didn't want the experience to be over. It was a dish that was truly meant to be savoured to the very last bite. This place is truly a hidden gem in Hamilton. It's a small hole in the wall that has a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, and the staff make you feel very much "at home" from the moment you walk in. If you enjoy oysters and are ever in Hamilton, this is a place you MUST visit at least once! Would recommend to anyone I know and I will most definitely eat here again. A true culinary experience that I won't soon forget.
Came in for the first time last night and it definitely won’t be the last! I loved everything about this place! The vibes are amazing, it’s friendly and chill and fun and relaxing! Everyone is so nice! I am new to the oyster life and I think this was a great introduction! I can’t wait to go back and try more! Everything on the menu is delicious! For real! Lobster rolls were incredible! Every once in a while I have a dinner that I can’t stop thinking about and I’ll definitely be thinking about this one for a long time!
Fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing, the staff are super passionate and knowledgable, and they made us feel like we knew them for years. Awesome spot to go hangout and have some good drinks and good food.
